Mission: Our mission is to give our adults the tools they need to function in a way that brings glory to God.

Vision: First Baptist Church is committed to enriching Christian lives and Christian homes.  Through Bible studies, fellowship activities, service projects, and missions, we grow together in our love and service to Jesus.  We are continually training our congregation to be better husbands, wives, parents, and children. 

Men's Ministry

Our Men's Ministry equips the men of FBC Richmond to serve God and their families.  The activities for our men are as different as the men in our congregation, but all are designed to strengthen them so that they can strengthen others.  Follow the link to find our more about the Men's Ministry at FBC Richmond.
Women's Ministry - WINGS

Our Women's Ministry - WINGS - Women IN Godly Service, invites you, as a woman of purpose, to take part in at least one of the following ministries being undertaken by WINGS this year:

  • DESIGNATED DRIVERS: Some of our ladies are unable to participate in certain activities because they cannot drive or do not drive at night.  Be a volunteer to pick up passengers as needed for WINGS activities.
  • GETTING TO KNOW YOU: Be one of a small group to rotate on a periodic basis for a brief meeting over coffee or brunch, to introduce other ladies to WINGS opportunities and other church ministries.
  • GREETING CARD MINISTRY:  Birthday, illness, surgery, homebound, new baby...just to name a few occasions when a card is appreciated.  Sign up to be a volunteer to send cards on these occasions.
  • MEALS ON WINGS:  On occasion, food needs to be provided in times of surgery, illness or a death in the family of one of our congregation.  Be willing to get together with a group of ladies periodically to prepare freezer dished for just such occasions.
  • PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY:  Knit or crochet shawls that are given to members in times of need, as a reminder that our congregation is praying for them.  Need to learn?  We have teachers!

Bible Studies

First Baptist Church offers a variety of Bible Studies where our members can connect in genuine fellowship and study God's word more deeply.  Whether you are hoping to strengthen a specific area in your walk with Christ, find and connect with members in a similar stage of life, or hear practical teaching for life application, you will find a Bible Study here that will welcome you into their fellowship.  Follow the link to learn about the various Bible Studies offered.  We would love to see you this Sunday!
