Class Title: The Upper Room Class
Leader: Ron Smith and Jason Edgington
Time: 9 am
Location: Room 201
Details: This class is made up of members who are approaching retirement or have already retired. The class contains couples as well as singles. Over the years they have begun to think of each other as old friends as they relate problems and praise periods in their lives, and receive phone calls and cards from other class members. With discussion and Bible readings, this class learns in an interactive style.

Class Title: First Fruits
Leader: Terry Hugo
Time: 9 am
Location: Room 202
Details: This class conducts an in-depth Bible Study. The class learns what scripture said to the people then, what is says to us now, and how to apply those truths in each individual life. Their desire is to grow in their relationship with God, desire to have an intimate relationship with their Heavenly Father, and to obey God's Word as they strive to live out 1 Peter 3:9 " But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,......" The class is not age dependent. Some members have young children, some have teenagers, college students, and even grandchildren. This is a caring and loving class which shares and prays for the concerns and burdens of each other.

Class Title: Ladies' Class
Leader: Paula Roe and Meredith Parkman
Time: 9 am
Location: Room 205
Details: The Ladies' Class invites you to join them in their study of God's Word. The class is made up of women of all ages. It is a very caring group of ladies who are each quick to say how much they love their class. The level of support and concern for members of this class is outstanding.

Class Title:  Men's Bible Class
Leader: Dr. Jimmy Robertson
Time: 9 am
Location: Room 207
Details: The Men's Bible Class is made up of men of all ages and from all walks of life. A common bond of faith unites this group in fellowship and support. They have a discussion oriented class that uses a variety of methods to discover the principles of the Bible and how they can be applied to their daily lives.

Class Title: Life Applications Class
Leader: Don Pate
Time: 9 am
Location: Fellowship Hall
Details: Members of the Life Applications class have as their goal the real life application of the scripture that they study. The teaching style is relaxed and interactive. Class members encourage each other, pray for each other and hope to be accountable to each other. They want to be challenged by God's Word to have a heart for Christ and rely on His understanding and not their own for life's journey. The class consists of both couples and single adults of varied ages.

Class Title: Mary Martha/Friendship Class
Leader: Amy Pena
Time: 9 am
Location: Parlor
Details: Many in this class have been together for years, yet a number are fairly new to our church. The Mary Martha's are our senior adults. The class includes both men and women. They are organized to minister to their members and all those of their age group. The group is wonderfully supportive of each other, their class, and their church. From the sound of the laughter coming from the parlor, there is no mistaking that they enjoy their time of fellowship.

Class Title: The Emmaus Class
Leader: JR Mitchell and Dan Bishop
Time: 9 am
Location: Room 208
Details: This class consists of both couples and single adults. The teaching style is highly interactive. The class works hard to understand how the Bible can apply to everyday life. They often try to find themselves in the various stories of the Bible.

Class Title: Formations Class
Leader: Joyce Trigger
Time: 9:00 am
Location: Room 211
Details: The Bible is given to us as a resource for transformation, not just information. This class follows a guide for prayer and formation, using A Guide to Prayer for Ministers and Other Servants as their resource. They study scripture that follows the life of Christ, Christ's church and Christ's disciples, supported by testimonies from a great host of writers, both ancient and contemporary. If you enjoy learning through discussion and reflection, this may be your class.

SUPER SUMMER SINGERS!

WHO:  Children who have completed grades 2-5 and youth who have completed grades 6-8, will join Amanda Edmondson, Emily Hall, Mark Moeller, Susan Thorpe and Joyce Trigger.

 

WHAT:  Super Summer Singers for a time of worshiping daily, playing instruments and preparing a musical drama on the life of Daniel.

 

WHEN:  August 6-9, from 9:00 am-1:00 pm, with a musical presentation on Thursday night, August 9 at 6:30 pm.

 

COST:  $40 for children (campers) and $20 for youth (our junior counselors!).  Scholarships are available.
